With the final night of the Thursday Thunder Legends Series presented by Papa John's Pizza set to crown the 2017 division title winners in this Saturday night's championship finale, a "Trump-appointed" cabinet, along with at least one unconfirmed Russian official, will also be on hand at Atlanta Motor Speedway as the momentous night of racing is celebrated.
Fans attending this Saturday's races will have a chance to hang out and snap photos with the entire cabinet, as well as the yet unidentified Russian official (who can be described as an unbiased whistle-blower), though collusion at any level is expressly verboten and will be harshly frowned upon if detected.
The cabinet and Russian official's appearance this weekend is the latest "unbelievable" announcement in a series events planned to promote the unique Saturday edition of Thursday Thunder. Other previously announced promotions include a record-breaking giant TV giveaway, pre-race Neil Young musical entertainment and a visit from an Alaskan pizza-eating champion all slated for the same night. Further very "real" news regarding this Saturday's event will be made in the coming days.
Grandstand spectator tickets for the affordable, family-friendly racing series are just $5 at the gate, with children ages 5 and younger admitted free. Gates open at 6 p.m., and feature races begin just after 7:30 p.m.
