NASCAR’s stars must out-duel each other on the high banks to leave Atlanta Motor Speedway a winner, but with a weekend full of family friendly fun and entertainment, kids always win at AMS.

The thrills of a race weekend in Atlanta are full of unforgettable moments for anyone who attends; for kids, these memories last a lifetime. Here’s some of the things that make race weekend so great for young race fans.

Family-friendly camping

Staying at the track for race weekend is always a good option, whether you have a group that’s looking to party or a family who wants fun days and quiet nights.

For the latter group, AMS has Family campgrounds made to please, with strictly enforced quiet hours and around-the-clock security to make sure your family has a safe and enjoyable experience during your stay.

To top it off, the AMS events staff is always coming up with camping activities oriented towards families and kids during the race weekend, whether it’s a bike ride around the speedway, a movie night, or a campfire with s’mores.

Plus these campgrounds are closest to the AMS Fan Zone, where there’s a ton of activities and attractions to enjoy on race weekend.

AMS Kids Zone

Located in the Fan Zone during race weekend, the AMS Kids Zone is full of free fun for budding race fans to enjoy.

From remote-control NASCAR racing to racing simulators, there’s a ton of activities for kids to enjoy that’ll get them revved up for the green flag.

This is in addition to other Fan Zone attractions that are fun for all ages each race weekend, like free carnival rides, complimentary shows like the Sea Lion Splash and Canine Stars, and the Speedway Experience Powered by EchoPark Automotive, featuring driver appearances, games, and live entertainment all weekend.

Budget-friendly kids pricing

Atlanta Motor Speedway aims to make bringing a child to the track as easy as possible, which is why we have Kids Tickets Powered by Ticketmaster for guests 12 and under.

For starters, kids 12 and under get into the grandstands FREE with a paid adult for NASCAR Xfinity Series and CRAFTSMAN Truck Series races. Tickets for NASCAR Cup Series events at AMS are just $10 plus taxes and fees for kids 12 and under no matter which grandstand you’re sitting in. That makes bringing children to Atlanta Motor Speedway’s biggest events – the spring Ambetter Health 400 and the Quaker State 400 Available at Walmart on Saturday night, under the lights June 28 – affordable for any budget!

You can make even more memories with a pre-race track pass, which gets you onto the track and up-close to pre-race festivities before the Cup race at AMS. This access is great for fans of all ages, and kids 12 and under get in at a discounted rate!
