It took roughly 17,000 tons of material to repave AMS.
40 feet in the corners, a reduction from 55 feet. Front Straight is 52 feet, backstretch is 42 feet.
The ODL is the Open Drainage Layer and drainage system are designed to more effectively remove excess ground water beneath the racing surface.
Before 2021, AMS was repaved in 1997 when the true 1.522 oval was reconfigured into its current 1.54 quad-oval.
