Friday Night Drags Series is heads up, street style drag racing. Racing is held on the one-eighth-mile Atlanta Motor Speedway pit road and the events are open to any automobile and any driver, provided they possess a valid driver's license.

In addition to the on-track action, a Show N' Shine car show will take place each Friday night as well. All vehicles are welcome to enter and awards will be given for the top three finishers in each class.

At 8:15 p.m., the show cars will parade down the frontstretch and park on the drag strip until 8:55 p.m. Time permitting, we will present Show N' Shine awards on the frontstretch in front of thousands of fans. All judging is scheduled to be complete by 8:50 p.m., so participants are encouraged to arrive at 6 p.m. The gates open at 6:30 p.m. for spectators.

Competitors can also participate in both the Show N' Shine and Drags for just $30.

September 19-20 - ACDelco Street Drags Nationals

The inaugural ACDelco Street Drag Nationals will bring together hot rods, tuners and the fastest drag cars together for the biggest-ever drag racing event at Atlanta Motor Speedway this September 19 and 20, Friday and Saturday. In addition to a seeded, bracket-style drag championship, the ACDelco Street Drag Nationals will feature Show-N-Shine competitions, a speedway cruise on Atlanta Motor Speedway's 1.54-mile quad-oval track, a burnout challenge, a fireworks show and more special attractions. Additionally, more features will be added to the event schedule preceding the event date.

Two days of head-to-head drag racing at the ACDelco Street Drag Nationals will culminate with an eight-car bracket competition. Each division points winner from Atlanta Motor Speedway's Friday Night Drags presented by ACDelco will receive a berth into the bracket, seeded based on their total FND points. Entrants for Friday and Saturday's drag action will then have the opportunity to vie for one of two remaining bracket spots, with the seventh seed going to Friday's champion and eighth to Saturday's.
